Note from the build

Anthropic's Fable model goes away tonight from our claude subscriptions.

It launched, relaunched, and access ends today. So I gave it my entire weekend.

Here's what I built in two days:

1. My personal website. I'd been procrastinating on this for months. Then I found a domain matching my full name, bought it on the spot, took inspiration from 21st.dev, and shipped. Then I got playful with easter eggs:

• The first fold reacts to your mouse movement.
• A character from Project Hail Mary reminds you to drink water and stretch. Click him and he says "amaze, amaze." If you saw the movie, you know.
• My GitHub contribution graph at the bottom transforms into a game mode.
• A quick script pulls all my LinkedIn posts into a writing section on the site

2. TradingView indicators for my wife. She works on stock markets and spends hours shortlisting candidates manually. We built indicators and strategies so the system finds the candidates and she spends her time improving it instead.

3. I helped my brother develop a Tally extension that sends invoices via WhatsApp, a feature Tally doesn’t support out of the box.

4. Gave this prompt "Review my project structure and suggest improvements to make our outputs 10x more useful, efficient, and powerful.". The results were outstanding. I could not have thought of these things myself.

5. Currently, I'm in the middle of building a couple of web apps on Railway for our events team, the RFP process, and an internal custom MCP directory for our team.

Fable is a great model. I'm honestly a bit sad it's locked behind APIs. Hoping the compute math works out and it comes back under subscriptions.

What did you build with Fable before it goes away?
